Prior to Arrival

When should I arrive?

For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow you relax in our lounge and eucalyptus dry sauna.

What should I wear during my treatment?

Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment, robes and slippers are provided.

Who can guide me in choosing my treatments?

Our Spa reservation agents can help you plan the perfect spa experience, including the best order for your treatments.

What about my jewelry and valuables?

If you are staying in the hotel, please leave valuable items in your guestroom. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items in the Spa.

Should I shave before a treatment?

Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services. For men, shaving is recommended, but not necessary, prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your appointment.

Spa Policies

What is the cancellation policy?

Senses Spa & Boutique requires credit card information to be saved on file to confirm any spa treatment appointments. We then require a minimum of 24 hours notice to be given by clients requiring rescheduling or appointment cancelation. If 24 hour notice is not provided or if a client fails to attend their appointment, 50% of the total cost of the booking will be charged to the credit card on file.

What about gratuities?

If you choose you may opt to leave gratuity for your therapist with the spa. The standard amount is typically 15 to 20 percent of the cost of service.

What about payment for Spa services?

We accept all major credit cards and traveler’s checks. You may also charge Spa services to your hotel bill. For your convenience, payment is accepted prior to treatments at the time of check-in.

What if I am late for my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

Are Gift Certificates available from the Spa?

You may purchase Gift Certificates for a specific dollar amount or for a dollar amount towards particular services. These gift cards can be purchased from Senses Spa & Boutique or from the front desk at the Americana Resort. Gift cards for a manicure or pedicure package are also available for purchase through our online store.

Is there a minimum age for treatments?

We are happy to provide specialized spa services for children under 12 years of age, and teenagers. All spa guests under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Health Questions

What if I am pregnant?

While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our Spa agents if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance.

What if I have special health considerations?

Please notify our Spa reservation agent before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.

Upon Arrival

What about my comfort?

This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it’s the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please share your preferences with us. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in the spa.
